So, is there a decent guide to using them properly, maybe Attingham map is the problem? I concur with the suggestions above to consider using Course Play, but also I've found it helpful to do the headland passes myself before hiring AI, especially areas that are close to fences, trees, etc. The AI does a fairly decent job as long as you do some initial hand-holding to eliminate any of the ways they could get confused and/or stuck. Make sure they have a nice rectangle-shaped field and plenty of room to turn around. Yesterday I found a tractor and stone picker had half jumped a fence and was stuck half on the road. I have once successfully done this but only once.Īlso for field work they always seem to make a mess of it and never really do the job to a decent standard and the old adage "If you want a job doing properly, do it yourself" springs to mind ). I am farming out of Brompton Farm (Attingham) and its a fair haul to to the shop so I like to get AI to do the drive, only trouble is it just cant seem to get there, usually "the route is blocked" even though it isn't or no route exists even when it does.
